The new Babee Uglee......

Hi all! We are sure enjoying a first full week of summer vacation here in the heartland. We make trips to the skateboard park when we feel like it, go to the pool on a whim, and even...gasp! stay in our jammies way too long in the morning!

My hooks have not been still but I haven't had time to keep you aprised of how fast my Uglees have been selling. 4 have sold this week alone, including in that 2 different Babee Uglees. Here is the first one that sold.

Here is the next one I sold:

Here is the latest Babee Uglee, now listed in my shop!

Detour

Summer has finally happened upon us here! I am finally finished with all the school meetings and my room is packed away for the summer. It's here, it's here, it's here! Time to sleep a little longer in the morning, time to linger over the news, minutes to ponder the sunset, hours to relax in the sun, and days to visit loved ones so sorely missed.

Today was a detour day! My sister called and said her family was on their way up to see a ball game in our city tonight. They have a 3 hour drive to get here, but the joy that filled my heart when I found out that I would be able to see them, sit with them, and enjoy time together.

Lastly, (did you really think this post would contain nothing crochet?) These three Uglees are now zooming their way towards Tennessee! I'm donating one and DebY purchased and is donating the other two. Safe travels!

Uglees 4 Kids cont'd

Hey everyone, if you haven't heard there is a new group called Uglee Dolls 4 Kids that is going to distribute Uglee Dolls to children who have been the victims of these terrible storms that have plagued mid-America(Reading, KS, Joplin MS, Tuscaloosa, AL) If you click on the link provided it will take you to the Wordpress blog that shares all the details you need to know. They also have a Facebook page too that is helping connect all the volunteers.

Here is the first one I made:

Joplin Uglee #1 should be at the collection site by Tuesday along with Purdee Uglee, who was purchased from my Etsy shop for the cause. I am also donating 50% of the purchase price of any Uglee doll from my store to the American Red Cross Joplin Relief Fund. I will aslo mial it directly to the collection site in Gallatin, TN. So even if you don't have time to make one, you can still do good in two ways: give a doll and a donation!
